Get to Know Felicia M. Brunson
I am passionate and dedicated. I know how to be a leader and how to follow. I am a visionary. I am inquisitive by nature. Most importantly, I feel an obligation to take care of my community. I was raised to address issues and stand up for what is right, no matter how difficult that may be. In addition to having two of the most dedicated parents in the world, I was blessed enough to have a ton of adult role models.

There have been countless teachers, friends and neighbors that have given their time and talents to make my life wonderful beyond words. When questioned why I do all that I do so passionately, I guess this is just my way of saying thank you and letting them know that their time and efforts were well spent and greatly appreciated. Do note that I have the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. I display quality in actions and have intent with integrity. I firmly believe that service is the price you pay for the God-given space you occupy.

Issues

According to new census reports, the senior population has increased tremendously. Because of this, we need to ensure that major attention is placed on ensuring that this population is privy to every benefit and opportunity to live their remaining years to the fullest.

With the new accountability laws as it relates to education, we need to ensure that our children get a well-rounded education experience without the fear of a single test, that they live in a safe, healthy community and that they too are privy to all of the opportunities available to them.

There is a major exodus from the state of Florida due to the high cost of living/ property taxes. We need to ensure that there is true affordable housing where parents can provide a safe and healthy environment for their families without the financial strain and fear of loosing it.

A gallant champion for the people, Felicia Mychele Brunson decided early in her life that she was going to be the change she wanted to see in her community and the world. Hailing from “The Mecca of Broward County” Carver Ranches, Brunson began constructing change in her community right after graduating from college.
